Miami Beach Bus Shelter

Overview

The design firm Pininfarina was commissioned to design the next generation of bus shelters for Miami Beach, however the original concept was rejected for cost. Our team took on a complete redesign, translating Pininfarina's vision into something buildable within real cost and structural constraints.

I led CAD development for the redesigned shelter, collaborating with structural engineers to optimize the structure for hurricane wind loads and full code compliance. The result is a shelter that honors the Pininfarina aesthetic while meeting the practical demands of the installation.

The first installation is currently being piloted in Miami Beach.
